Have you heard of CVS? Well you’re getting it right now!

CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome) is a condition caused by prolonged staring contests with your computer screen. Symptoms include headaches, blurred vision, neck pain, fatigue, eye strain, dry, irritated eyes, and difficulty refocusing the eyes. And apparently it gets worse with improper lighting (bright lights that cause glare).

The idea behind this is that working (a.k.a. looking at blogs) on a screen all day decreases the blink rate drastically. It goes from an average of 16-20 blinks per minute to a dry 6-8 blinks per minute.

The best way to avoid CVS is to keep the lights down low, turn down the brightness of your monitor and take many many naps throughout the day.

This is not to be confused with hydrogen psychosis (crazy eye). Please see image below for example.
