As instantly as it was gone, instant film is back on the market (and more importantly back in my hands).

When Polaroid initially made the announcement that they would no longer be producing the famous, iconic instant film, people started to panic. Luckily there were some clear headed people out there. They called themselves The Impossible Project and they saw an opportunity to carry on where Polaroid had left off. And they did it right. The packaging is beautiful and from what I’ve seen, the photos turn out great. It has been a long time coming, but new instant film for our old Polaroid 600 cameras are finally here and ready to order.

Video Killed The Print Media Star

Print media has been an endangered species for quite some time now. More and more publications have been shifting focus to the internet due to it’s ability to cater to up-to-the-minute news and content, the ability to house videos, and, of course, the low environmental impact. The only problem was it’s lack of portability. Sure there are ultra thin laptops, but nothing as light, flexible, or resilient as a magazine. Until now!

I’m anticipating another polaroid style heartbreak.
