Mitchell’s Fabrics is a favorite resource for local seamsters. They stock a shocking range of textiles ranging from mundane to exotic and their basement is bursting with a bounty of bargains; perfect for the budget-conscious sartor. Here’s a quick peek into their copious coffers of cloth:

Not to be outdone by Thom at purchasing high end scandinavian furniture, my wife and I picked up this swedish daybed yesterday. Record setup time thusfar ended up somewhere in the 15 second range.

So my wife and I are expecting our first child sometime in the next few weeks, and as such have been immersed in the strange universe of baby-culture. A week or two ago my cousin introduced me to her child’s favorite show known as Yo Gabba Gabba. I have since become completely addicted, child or not, due to such stellar segments as beat boxing lessons from Biz-Markie, Mark’s Magic Pictures by Mark Mothersbaugh, and musical performances by The Roots and The Shins. One of the best lessons I learned was to be friends with worms.

And also, not to bite my friends.
